A stop-motion film to launch the Shangri-La Group’s Hotel Jen properties’ new food and beverage brand pillar activation.

We thought
Hotel Jen is the newest hotel brand in the Shangri-La Group. Their modern, fun hotels can be found in the best spots across Asia Pacific. The brand captures the spirit of travel, relishing the adventure, celebrating the culture, smoothing out the frustrations. So when they tasked APV with launching their new F&B touchpoint across 10 properties in over 9 different countries, we knew we were in for a treat. We also knew that our idea needed to capture this personality in a fun, colourful and short video, and we thought our stop-motion video concept was the perfect fit.
We made
We wrote, produced and directed a one-minute film accompanied with special cuts tailored for the different markets and social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, among others. Stop-motion was the star of our idea, combining kinetic pace with vibrant colours, we brought the campaign’s #LeaveBoringBehind vibe to life. “Get. Set. Eat.” – we successfully made a visual explosion of alternative twists to classic cocktails and unexpected Asian flavour fusions.
