Mark Erder

More than 30 years ago, Mark landed in Hong Kong to direct for a local film production company. Finding a gap in the video production services market, Mark founded APV with British journalist Adrian Brown to produce international news and feature packages for broadcasters.

There aren’t many agencies that can show how editorial film-making has inspired their approach to advertising and branding and that is exactly what Mark has achieved with APV.

As our commander-in-chief, Mark makes APV a place that inspires outstanding work and long-lasting partnerships with clients. His passion for telling stories from around the world shows no signs of abating and Mark’s credits include numerous documentaries for the National Geographic Channel, ‘The Last Governor’ documentary for the BBC about the British handover of Hong Kong and ‘Of All The Gin Joints’, a co-production with the BBC about Hong Kong’s Foreign Correspondents’ Club to coincide with the club’s 50th anniversary.

Among many independent documentary awards, Mark has won the Grand Prix at Cinema du Reel in Paris for his documentary ‘Silver Valley’.
